Astrill VPN Client App Reviews

I cant understand it, really not! Each and every application has been updated asap, only Astrill waits until- I dont know! Problem: it is impossible to select any other city than the one which was chosen the last time while it was working on iOS 7. We pay a lot of money and they oversleep such big movements like the iOS update, one of their main devices used by their costumes!!!

It was working till I bought the 2 year package....more than one month down and no ETA to fix the problem

Since February 2016 stopped working on my iPhone, Im in China.

This app tries to automatically reconnect to the internet. A nice idea but its broken. All the time do I come back to find Astrill drained the battery of my iPad and iPhone because the VPN didnt stay switched off. And when you put your device to sleep and forget to disconnect manually you have no internet connection despite the VPN thinking it is still on. Its infuriating, laborious to reset and Astrill refuses to listen. I have complained and asked for them to release an update without automatic reconnect but have only been told off.

We use Astrill since 2 years in China and we are generally happy. The Mac and PC version runs more stable and faster. As of 21.01.2015, the Chinese Government imposed another round of censorship on many foreign websites incl VPN providers.Since then we cant login into Astrill on iOS but it still works on PC/Mac.

If you want to use Astrill in China, forget it! It isnt working on any IOS device!

It is very frustrating. It almost doesnt work at all and definitely not like it should. It always lets me down in the most crucial moments. I have to log out and log in again every 5 seconds. The app shows its connected when its not which is very misleading. When its not connected it keeps on trying to connect blocking the regular wi fi traffic. Whenever I dont need the vpn I cannot switch it off - it just keeps on reconnecting (unsuccessfully of course). And of top of that... its paid.

I think due to China regulations, the service is unstable and most times very slow. Other regions I can not judge.

Sometimes there are problems to connect. And there are only 3 servers to choose from. Please develop an app with the same functions as the desktop application.

Doesnt work in China since beginning of 2015. New app was announced but not released so far. Proposed alternative with Cisco AnyConnect doesnt work either. Stay away if you are in China and want to use Apple devices.

Its not working in China. Dont pay for a VPN which could provide 2 devices but provides only 1. its totally annoying!

Could not connect once in 2016 worked quite well last year but its frustrating and currently useless in China.

Does not work in China since weeks, no reaction, no solution offered to the clients...

Where is the customer service? We want our money back

The app looks like back from the days of iOS 5. More importantly it did not work the last couple of weeks in China and even before just spotty. I expect more from a paid service and hope for an update and a better handling of future (and certainly to be expected) issues especially in China. They used to be great. So one star what it would really be worth but an additional one because I have hope.

Waste of money. Astrill was quite a good vpn choice in China some years ago. Now it doesnt work anymore since weeks (at least on iOS). Customer support rude or not existing.
