Where are the smart mode and port option??

infinite loop while installing profile. installing webpage keep bouncing back to app which prompts again to install profile.

After buying a year contract, the technical support people told me I need to spend another $60 to make the router work with the VPN service I purchased. Technical support our rude and each support person will tell you a different information, and its usually wrong information. To make it clear, I spoke with 3 technical support people before buying my year contract. No matter what you do, dont use this company.

It was working so-so in China. It would get blocked, but then it would start working again. Now, it has been blocked for 4 months and it is fustrating. However, it does work on my other Samsung phones. I am rating this app based on being able to use it on my iPhone. I think it is due to Apple, not giving more control to Astrill.

I cant comment about how it works in China. It works perfectly from the US. I use it both on my laptop and on my cell phone. It works exactly as advertised. Product information clearly says it cant be used on a router without a special subscription. If you want to protect your network, buy the correct license.

I spent $50 or so on this service before going to China and it really sucked and only worked a few times over the span of several months. I recommend the free apps VPN master (for phones) and Psiphone (for computers). Wouldnt recommend this AT ALL. I would like a refund.

It drops very frequently before, but now it works perfectly, just like on my MacBook. I think they have solved the problem and updated for iOS devices. Highly recommend this if you want to watch YouTube fluently in mainland China. (Hopefully it wont be always dropping again in the future)

I have been in Beijing for 2 years and have tried a number of different vpns all of which had issues, either they were glitchy or very slow or just stopped functioning completely on certain days. But Astrill is not only fast, easy to connect, I havent experienced websites it cant connect to or any slow glitchy days.

Im glad to see the new version, and it is good for me. But I cant find the smart mode in it.where is it?

The Astrill VPN app works great in China. Its a constant battle with the Great Firewall to get reliable and fast connections outside the country and Astrill has performed well for me. No VPN will work flawlessly 24/7 but the Astrill VPN app comes close. Realize many reviews here are for things other than the app as Astrill sells a router based VPN service that you program into your router (which works well for my Xbox and Amazon Prime Video). They also sell a personal wifi router with their VPN service built in (this one doesnt work so well in China). So read the reviews carefully before deciding.

Application not so good , very old , some times doesnt work , company didnt apologize never about that !

If you are not a tech savvy computer genius, dont even think about trying. My VPN never worked on my phone and computer and I asked for refund. They told me to download this and that, try this and that, back and forth with email exchanges and it didnt work. In the end they still refused to return the rest of the months I havent used. In case of strict censorship (i.e. Big international events in China like G20 or APEC), you cant connect to any VPN location from Astrill, this is proven from all the expats around me. So, try other VPNs (Express VPN, VPN Master etc), cheaper, more stable, faster, and definitely wont waste your time.

In China the VPN did not work for 4 months in 2016. They asked for customers to be patient and they will compensate appropriately. Once the VPN started working, I emailed for weeks about the refund/extension. Their resolution was a 2wk extension. So we paid for a 12 month service that only worked for 7-8...and resolution was a 2 week extension? Horrible

I live in China and after 1 month that l just bought the VPN, due to China s restrictions l couldnt use it for at least 2 months then l gave up and didnt use it. Later l heard from friends it works fine and l started to use it again. I asked for compensation for the months that l wasnt able to use it, they gave me 15 days compensation. Unbelievable! Do not buy it! Horrible!

Keeps on disconnecting when iPhone screen is off. Server connection slow. And please redesign the interface, it is really old school... Thanks!

I took the one week trial and it was working very well, then I paid for it and now it is really really long... I cant believe its a coincidence.

Does not work with iOS 8.

I used astrill for a long time on iOS 7, no big trouble, but now with iOS 8 it doesnt work anymore :((
