Works better since they updated the app. I live in China for 3 years and it took a while ...

I know how much you guys work so Astrill can work worldwide, thank you. So, just letting you know that this latest update didnt work here.

Ive had to uninstall the app for stopping it searching to log in ! No power off or 2nd instance turn out were successful to stop it .

App doesnt work in China since many month. Hotline promise update, but nothing happens.

I followed some recommendation of friends to purchase and use Astrill in China. But it was the biggest mistake ever and my friends meanwhile agree. Astrill isnt reliable in usage and the support is more then bad. No real solutions are getting provided. Actually for iPhone are just two servers since weeks available and Astrill promise again and again to improve it but w/o any outcome. I would nobody recommend to purchase this service as it is just waste of money. Normally zero stars would be the right score, which isnt possible.

I cannot connect for 3 weeks, and no one gonne to repair it. By the way, is anyone from Canada who also has error connect？

In last six months, service level dropped incredibly. Since two months, they are not able to provide proper VPN service for iPads and iPhones. No need to talk about latest version which is a big failure. They are not taking any action to correct it and also there is no refund policy even they are liable for the failure. Try any other service and do not bother yourself.

I see message: "API response is corrupted. Please try again or contact support for assitance. Theres either an Internet problem or your ISP is doing something nasty with your connection."

Just made again my biggest mistake! One year contract and its useless in China. They just keep say sorry sorry instead of giving back the money,bastard! Listen to me. Dont buy this VPN EVER!

Do not download it. Doenst work especially for Chinese users who want to skip there Great Wall. The customer service is awful and you wont get money back, wasted one year subscription. The remedy is called express Vpn wich works pretty stable in China

This app, basically , doesnt work at all since January 2016. The customer service have been telling me that " soon a new version will be released" but nothing like this happened so far. Im very disappointed. I even payed for the Stealth VPN add-on and its pretty much useless. Thanks a lot, ASTRILL!

Ive been using their service for 4 years. Their service is going down hill like nothing can save them. The customer service is very unprofessional, when you tell them a problem, they never say sorry about it, they just response with cold and stupid answer. Now I cant connect to any server on my phone app, the dd wrt plugin doesnt work, so I contacted the customer service. And of course no help. So I decided to get my refund and they play this game with me. This is America! We have laws to protect our rights as customers! Id never use them again!!!! Please find other companies if you really want hassle free service. And Im using this in the United States! Crap!

Been a user of Astrill for 2.5 years. Still subscribed to their yearly program. I am posting because it has been 4 months weve been unable to connect through multiple iphones in China for more than 5-10 seconds. The pc version works but do not waste money on the phone app. It doesnt connect. Search for better free ones

Started using Astrill last year. Worked fine for a few months, but for the last three months it wont even load...the app crashes immediately on load on both iPad and iPhone. Ironically, their desktop client works very well (which renders their "meetings in Beijing" excuse as garbage - and how do these meetings specifically only affect iOS devices, hmm?). Support has been abysmal; theyve promised for months that the new release is around the corner and tell me to try the same things I have already told them do not work. Personal favorite - I request an update on a ticket that specifically states "cannot open iOS app." Support responds with "try a different server and let us know how it goes." How can I try a different server if I cannot even open the app?! Waste of time and money for anyone who needs mobile device VPN access.

Please fix it

I wasted $60 on Astrill service only to be scammed by this company. They might as well be operating from Nigeria because its like a 419 scam. Customer service has zero training and the vpn just doesnt work and the few times it did connect it only lasts a few minutes. A waste of my $60 and time.

When it works it is great, but most often the app works for a few days and then inevitably dies — at which point a reinstall is necessary.

You guys said would fix the issue with connectivity in China with an update, but it never came. Please update this app so we could use it as well as on desktop pc.

You only get a choice of 2 servers that dont connect 95% of the time. And even when it does, it will disconnect almost immediately, being a pain to use. Do not recommend.
